What To Expect
While the main focus of these socials will be learning how to play appropriately with other puppies, socialization isn’t just about meeting other puppies. There are all kinds of sights, sounds, and smells our puppies need to learn about. Puppy classes should include opportunities for puppies to investigate novel objects at their own pace with lots of positive reinforcement. Umbrellas, masks, scooters, vacuums, different surfaces, and much more will be incorporated into classes for a comprehensive socialization experience.

Why is puppy socialization so important?
A young brain has incredible neuroplasticity and therefore puppyhood is the most advantageous time to help them safely learn about the world around them and to help them learn healthy and appropriate ways to react and respond to novel objects and circumstances in their environment. Exposure isn’t enough.
A lack of positive socialization during puppyhood is a leading causes of behavior problems for dogs in adult life.
Can I Enroll My Older than 20 Week Puppy?
Unfortunately we cannot make exceptions for puppies who are older than 20 weeks. We know your puppy is pawsome, but they are in a very different developmental transition after 20 weeks and play styles change dramatically. Older puppies may put younger ones at risk of having a bad experience and forming negative associations.
Great news! Our Puppy 101:Foundations Class accepts puppies up to 20 weeks old at the start of the class.
