Dogs 20 weeks and older
For all Noble Woof services dogs are required to be up to date on the following vaccinations:
Distemper, Pravor vaccines (DHPP or DAPP).
Required to have their Rabies vaccine by 6 months of age, and remain up to date per Oregon State Law.
Please send vaccination records to info@noblewoof.com unless you’ve uploaded them in our scheduling software.
SPAY NEUTER REQUIREMENTS:
Dogs do not need to be spayed or neutered for group classes, private training, playschool or day training services, but must follow the guidelines listed below.
Group classes: In season females attending group class need to wear a diaper.
Day Training:
Females in season might be allowed to attend day training on a case by case basis with direct approval from our leadership team and your trainer.
Their ability to attend is dependent on their temperament, and the temperament of any intact males that we may have in the program at that time.
They may attend only if they can be completely isolated in a separate, enclosed room with a physical barrier and closed door, and only if they show no signs of stress during such separation.
If you think your female may be entering heat but are unsure, please contact your veterinarian for support in understanding how to identify a female in heat. Please also notify your trainer.
SYMPTOMS OF ILLNESS
Dogs experiencing diarrhea, showing symptoms of infectious diseases such as Canine influenza, Bordetella, and Giardia are not permitted to attend any services at the Noble Woof Canine Education Center.
Giardia Policy:
If your dog tests positive for Giardia they must be treated with a 5 day course of Fenbendazole. If following that treatment their stools are normal they may return to class as long as they have an anal bath before entering the facility.
If following the 5 day course of Fenbendazole, your puppy still tests positive, note that a positive test does not mean they have an active infection. As such, even if they are testing positive, but their stools are normal they may return to class as long as they have an anal bath before entering the facility.
Bordetella and Canine Influenza:
For Bordetella and canine influenza your dog may return as soon as symptoms have completely subsided.
Warts/Papillomas:
Do not bring your dog or puppy to any classes, socials, playschool or day training services if they have warts around their mouth or eyes. You may continue with private training.
Tapeworm Diagnosis:
If your dog tests positive for Tapeworm they must be treated with a 5 day course of praziquantel (or other treatment your veterinarian recommends). If following that treatment their stools are completely normal they may return to class as long as they have an anal bath before entering the facility.
MOST important is that your dog is up to date on and currently taking internal, monthly flea, tick and parasite prevention medications as tapeworms will only be infectious to other dogs if they have the flea to complete their life cycle.
